Ways to reduce stress on a daily basis

We may consider the link between these factors:
  • Stress
  • Dehydration
  • Blood sugar levels
  • Salt/sugar intake
  • Kidneys
  • Blood pressure
  • Toxicity
  • Liver
  • Cholesterol
  • Cardiac health

Stress leads to dehydration in the body and this then creates further stress. Many internal and external factors affect stress, an improper diet plays a large part.


Ways to reduce stress on a daily basis
  • Excercise
  • Drink sufficient water (2 litres on average daily)
  • Be prepared for the day ahead
  • Follow a healthy diet
  • Take sufficient rest
  • Take time out to relax

Sample daily diet

Breakfast
  1. Soaked porridge/ muesli, berries/ fruit, plain yogurt, crushed seeds, herb tea
  2. Rye bread/ wholemeal toast/ oatcakes, tahini/pumpkin seed butter/ almond butter, boiled egg, piece of fruit, herb tea

Mid morning
Water/ herb tea (1 litre water by lunchtime)

Lunch
Sardine/ tuna/ salmon/ egg/ hoummus/ avocado/ bean salad
or sandwich
or vegetable soup with wholemeal roll

Mid afternoon
Water/ herb tea, small piece fruit if hungry (1 litre water by end of working day)

Super
  1. Fish/ meat, assorted steamed vegetables
  2. Stir fried chicken/ turkey/ tofu, vegetables, brown rice
  3. Wholemeal pasta, tomato sauce, seafood/ prawns
  4. Mushrooms, fresh herb omelette, wholemeal toast
  5. Vegetable soup, beans/ lentils/ brown rice
Water (a little wine too, if desired) Herbal tea
